Among the most agreeable of all small house dogs, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a strong, athletic, and lively little herder who is affectionate and companionable without being needy. They are one of the world’s most popular herding breeds.

They can be red, sable, fawn, and black and tan, with or without white markings. They have a double coat and shed a fair amount, but daily brushing and regular bathing will help with shedding. Corgis are 10 to 12 inches tall and weigh up to 30 pounds. Their life expectancy is 12 to 13 years.

Corgis are herders and are happiest when they have a job to do. They are active little dogs and need daily walks and playtime. Due to their high energy and love of work, and many Corgis excel in canine sporting events.
