Scottish Terriers

Scottish Terriers are small and lively dogs that make excellent companions. They range from 18-22 pounds and 10 inches in size. Their life expectancy is 12 years. Scottish Terriers are affectionate family pets but may need supervision around young children and other dogs.

Scotties have distinctive low-set bodies and bearded faces. Their long top coat and dense undercoat can be black, brindle, or yellow. They shed very little but do require frequent grooming.

These small dogs are playful and make great watchdogs. They enjoy brisk walks and regular, stimulating play to keep them happy and healthy. Because they were originally bred as hunting dogs, they need to be supervised by other animals.
